Clear answers to common questions
Frequently Asked Questions
We know it can feel hard to know where to start. These questions are here to help you understand our support and what to expect. If you don’t see your question here, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
1. Do I need a diagnosis to access support?
No. You do not need a formal diagnosis to access our support. We work with people based on their experiences, needs, and goals, not labels.
2. Is your support clinical or therapeutic?
No. Our support is non-clinical and preventative. We do not provide therapy, counselling, or medical treatment. We focus on confidence, wellbeing, practical support, and advocacy. If clinical support is needed, we can help signpost to appropriate services.
3. Who can access your services?
Our services are open to adults who feel they would benefit from supportive, practical help. This includes people who:
- Feel overwhelmed or excluded
- Are neurodivergent (diagnosed or self-identified)
- Are returning to work, learning, or community life
- Need support with confidence, wellbeing, or everyday challenges
4. What kind of support do you offer?
We offer a range of inclusive, practical support, including:
- Neurodiversity coaching and advocacy
- Mental health and wellbeing support (non-clinical)
- Money and budgeting support
- Digital literacy support
- Employability support and training
You don’t need to know which service you need — we can help you work that out.
5. Do you offer crisis or emergency support?
No. We are not a crisis or emergency service. If you need urgent help, please visit our Crisis Support page for appropriate services. Once you’re safe, we can support you with ongoing, non-crisis help.
6. How do I get started?
You can contact us using the form on our Contact page, by email, or by phone. We’ll arrange a friendly conversation to talk things through and suggest next steps — with no pressure or obligation.
7. What happens after I contact you?
We’ll:
- Get back to you within a clear timeframe
- Talk with you about what you’re looking for and what feels helpful
- Suggest suitable next steps or signpost if another service is more appropriate
8. Is there a cost for your services?
Some of our support is fully funded and free to participants, while other services may have a cost depending on the programme or referral route. We’ll always be clear about this before anything starts.
9. Are your staff qualified and DBS checked?
Yes. All of our staff are DBS checked and appropriately qualified. Our team includes Mental Health Champions, qualified neurodiversity coaches, adult educators, and safeguarding-trained practitioners.
10. Can you support organisations or community groups?
Yes. We also work with organisations, community groups, and partners to deliver inclusive training, programmes, and support.
11. I’m not sure if your support is right for me — what should I do?
That’s okay. Many people feel unsure at first. We encourage you to get in touch for an informal chat — we’ll help you decide whether our support is a good fit or help you find alternatives if needed.
